Go to Tools -> Customize -> Keyboard. Under "Category" list select "Edit". Under "Function" list select "Find & Replace". In shortcut keys find "Ctrl+F" and click "Modify" button on the right. Now click "OK" and that's it -- you have restored the old behavior. You can do it for Writer only or for whole LibreOffice suite globally. You can delete Ctrl+F shortcut at all as well, if you like.
BTW, that was one of first thing I have done after upgrading to 3.4.X. You can assign almost any LO command to almost any keyboard shortcut.
