What I find more worrisome about this report is that I have LO 3.4.3 installed in a Windows Vista VM that also has MSE installed and there were not security issues.
That was with LibO_3.4.3_Win_x86_install_multi.exe downloaded from the LibreOffice site on 2011-09-16T21:38Z. It was installed almost immediately. So my question would be, where was the 3.4.3 obtained from and are you sure that it is a false positive? There was a version of the MSE updates that triggered some incorrect alerts. That may have been after my 3.4.3 was installed. It would be good to make sure the MSE definitions are the latest and try it again. - Dennis PS: Of course, it would be scarier if I installed it before MSE had an update that revealed an infection. I am in denial on that case. Fortunately, it is installed in a VM with not much else there. -----Original Message----- From: Stefan Weigel [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Monday, October 24, 2011 23:48 To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [libreoffice-users] False Positive Virus detection my MSE for 3.4.3 installer. Why not yourself? We are all just users here helping each other. ;-) Stefan -- LibreOffice - Die Freiheit nehm' ich mir! -- For unsubscribe instructions e-mail to: [email protected] Problems? http://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/mailing-lists/how-to-unsubscribe/ Posting guidelines + more: http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Netiquette List archive: http://listarchives.libreoffice.org/global/users/ All messages sent to this list will be publicly archived and cannot be deleted -- For unsubscribe instructions e-mail to: [email protected] Problems? http://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/mailing-lists/how-to-unsubscribe/ Posting guidelines + more: http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Netiquette List archive: http://listarchives.libreoffice.org/global/users/ All messages sent to this list will be publicly archived and cannot be deleted
