Readers, The web site 'open templates' for templates was accessed via the LO web page: http://www.libreoffice.org/features/templates/. A file was retrieved but had the file suffix 'zip'; had to change to 'odt' to open using LO. This is simple advice for others, but would also ask other users to create more templates on the LO templates web sites; will do so myself...
