It might be faster to just re-download and try again.  

It doesn't take long to do an md5sum check once you are used to it but the 
first time is a little unnerving.  Basically you are just comparing one number 
with another and it feels that it should be a lot more complicated.  

Maybe it might help to avoid having too many tabs open in the web-browser and 
avoid high-def video or heavy gaming while doing the download.  Anything easy 
enough to do to try to make the download smoother.

I would check the MD5 hash for the LO 3.4.4 install file. My guess is that you 
have a corrupted file and will need to download it again.

I am not sure how to check the MD5 hash in Windows, I use Linux.
