Hi :) I think the same instructions still work although there is a wiki-page on how to install versions alongside each other. It's not straight-forwards not it's not hugely tough either. Personally i would recommend uninstalling and reinstalling just because it's easy and free. It's only if you are likely to have sudden dead-lines and need a more familiar version to fall back on.
