If he is using a Mac would he be willing to "Save As ... " Odp (Odp is the 
OpenDocument Format for presentations).  Mac users tend to be more willing 
(ime) to use non-MS formats, sometimes as a matter of principle, but they don't 
always have the techie skills and professors might not have the time.
