Hi :) The help files are really well worth avoiding. They are really pretty rubbish now. Try the proper official documentation instead either from http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Documentation/Publications or http://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/documentation/ (same guides but the wiki shows shows more and also has some 3rd party unofficial guides that people have found useful) Regards from Tom :)

Yes, they should be included by default, at least in Windows 7, I can't say for Vista. There was effectively a bug in the 3.4.x versions of LO, in which a necessary library was missing, which prevented from accessing. This was resolved for 3.5. The last time I tried it (before the release of beta versions of LO 3.5, it was working).
