Andrew, your contribution is worldwide much appreciated, everyone should be aware of. Nevertheless, using macros limits the range of users who can use certain functions in LibreOffice. While programmers get wings, unexperienced users may not be able to make use of the macros even if great samples as yours are available. I think a clear statement about lack of certain functions would help people get happier with LibreOffice. It is still much better to avoid expecting some functions and putting much effort in developing a document, then dropping it all at a certain point when it becomes clear that a bottleneck is reached. Perhaps a list of such statements would also help developers get oriented and prioritized. If there is a list of nice-to-have or we-got-used-to features momentarily not implemented in LibO, please share that. I fell in the same cage: developed a nice doc using 40 clever document fields. Now I can't use this document on the purpose I intended to, because I can't convert fields to text.
