Placing one or more templates into the folder listed in the new path does not make them visible for use as it always has. One more point that also seems a little strange: I installed 3.5 from LO website on Ubuntu 11.10 that did contained no LO nor OOo folders. When I looked at the new path which ends with /3/user/template, there was no template folder in the user folder.
