Hi :) Congrats :) Nicely done :) The 3.5.0 is the first in that branch and we didn't actively ask people to get involved with beta-testing it early enough. I was one of those guilty of telling people to stay away from it until the 3.5.1 so i'm feeling like i kicked myself in the leg and also am feeling quite guilty. However the devs are stars so i'm sure the 3.5.1 will clear up a lot of the problems.
If you would like to get a sneak preview of the 3.5.1 then when the beta-testing releases are made try installing it alongside the LO you already have http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Installing_in_parallel or better still test on an older machine or in a virtual machine. This allows you to switch back to the one you know works if you run into a problem and have a de4ad-line to keep. I don't know what the problem was with 3.5. I guess I'll just have to wait for a later version.
