People choose the latest one because that's what we give them, unless they dig around to find the more obscure options buried on back-pages. Regards from

Why do people always wish to be using the latest version of a software product?

Have recently read a very interesting thread about regression bugs and
(in my opinion) flawed software release strategy:

Novice mailing list users, note the consistent posting style!

I just simply think and expect latest versions have solved problems from previous releases.
However it is obvious that this is not true at all.
