Hi :) It seems that MariaDb are carefully remaining a drop-in replacement for MySql. Obviously there are some heated feelings in the 2 communities. Regards from Tom :)

Maria is a fork of MySQL, and I thought the 5.5-alike was their first real release, and they've had a second since then. No?
