Bad news. v3.4.6 has the same crash problem. Its splash screen and soffice.bin came up for a second and then exited quickly. I noticed a lot of empty lu*.tmp folders/directories (e.g., lufcg17.tmp) in my Windows' %temp% folder/directory left behind too if those are clues.
