Hi :) You have installed the files that are in the DEBS folder. Inside that folder is another folder called something like "Desktop-integration". The next step is to install the files in there too. http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Installing_LibreOffice_on_Linux I thought they were for the Gnome DE (or Xfce) so i'm not sure what to do if you are running KDE or something else.
