Because this package has no binaries on it's own, so there basically is nothing to invoke from menu. This hidden entry is created by /usr/share/applications/libreoffice-javafilter.desktop file. It's only purpose is to register few mimetypes in global mimetype database and associate them with LO Writer. This way if you ever happen to have file from one of said programs, your file manager (Nautilus, perhaps) will know that it is supposed to run LO Writer. But because of .desktop files works, side-effect of this will be entry in "start" menu. So they put another keyword to hide this entry from user's view. If they did not, then there would be more questions similar to these you have asked ;) . -- Best regards Mirosław Zalewski -- For unsubscribe instructions e-mail to: users+h...@global.libreoffice.org Problems? http://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/mailing-lists/how-to-unsubscribe/ Posting guidelines + more: http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Netiquette List archive: http://listarchives.libreoffice.org/global/users/ All messages sent to this list will be publicly archived and cannot be deleted
