Hello,

I was sent a PPTX file that I needed to translate and spent hours on it,
saving regularly only to find out that after closing it, I couldn't reopen
it due to a General Error - General input / output error.

SAPP COPY-Sistema Automatizado de Pases a Producción
v2.pptx<http://db.tt/yTaVDf86>

Can anyone please lend a hand? I've googled and seen tons of this on Linux
but I'm running Window7 x64 and haven't found a solution.

Thanks.

I do not get that error, but LO 3.5.4 crashes on Ubuntu after the "bar" seems to say the presentation has been completely read in.

Never seen that before.

If you need to view the text and such, try using an archive utility to look into the file.

The default Archive Manager for Ubuntu opens the file like it was a compressed one. So you should be able to extract the text and images for the presentation. From there, it might be recreated from those parts, or take the original file and use the extracted test to fill in the slides.
