Maybe two "workarounds" (somehow or other):
- If practicable, edit your document in 'Web Layout' (Menu View → Web Layout)
- Play with the color settings:  Menu Tools → Options → LibreOffice →
Appearance → Custom colors → Text Document → Headers and footer
delimiters.
