Hi, I was looking about the font issue and it seems that all OS-systems (Windows, Mac, Gnu Linux) handle fonts differently. On windows they are installed on OS level and in many cases you need to be administrator to do font install. With Windows XP that was not a problem, since all users almost always had admin rights, but with Vista and Win 7 this has changed. You might be able to install on local level also with "normal" user rights but I do not know since I have never done that.
On mac according to apple support pages the font locations are different and have different impacts to users, try to see the followinng link. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2435 On linux you can install fonts on users level in a hidden .fonts folder (usrxx/.fonts) that are then used by LO, but it would mean that probably all you users would need to install you core fonts so that they stay the same. In Linux the main folder for fonts is ~/.fonts/ LO as program AFAIK does not carry a special font folder, but looking into the userProfile might give you a possibility to see if that is a possibility or not. I do not currently have LO installed (since the shlxthdl.dll of version 3.6.0 started doing stupid things and crashed the windows occasionally), so I had to uninstall it.
