Thats a tricky one. I don't exactly have a solution to the opera problem but it might be best to associate the email client (Thunderbird maybe?) as the default. From the best of my knowledge the opera browser can not become associated with the *.eml format which Thunderbird & Evolution use? -- As an aside what is the reason your using the M2 Client? from my own experience it has loads of issues and is not as half as good as thunderbird or evolution for that matter
