According to what I have found, OS X uses Carriage > Return. The first two choices are available in Base, but I don't see a > Carriage Return as a choice. Is it possible that when OS X sees the > Carriage Return-Line Feed combination that it acts as if it only sees > Carriage Return? > I would like to get some feed back from someone using OS X. > You should be alright with the Unix variant, it is what I have used in the past. However, testing on : Version 3.7.0.0.alpha0+ (Build ID: 45c86d8) on Mac OSX with a MEMO LONGVARCHAR field in a hsqldb database has just shown this not to work...i.e. : I created a multi-line control corresponding to the MEMO field, chose Unix LF and vertical scroll bar. Saved the form, then opened the form in data entry mode. Added some multi-line text with carriage returns. Tried to save, either by moving from one record to the next, or simply saving the entered data - nothing happened, the data I see on the screen in the form control is not written to the underlying field. Will have to investigate some more...
