Hi Chris, I'm using the same version of Libre Office as you are, on a windows 7 Professional system.. I have run databases on this version of Base which were developed on previous versions and even some developed on Open Office. I do not not have the same problem as you. However, If I close the operating system without closing Base and LO properly, Windows won't shut down unless I save or discard the changes. This is complicated because I run a text editor at the same time as LO. Same thing happens if I have not saved or shut down the editor properly.. When running Base I am extra careful to shut each mode and save it using the File drop down menu. I look for the little green triangle indicating "Save". When closing Base I do the same thing. I do not use the the little X in the corner. This makes sure I haven't forgotten to save my work. Perhaps this is the cause of your problem. Hank
