There was a bug in LO 3.5.x versions discussed at the end of this post <http://nabble.documentfoundation.org/Base-and-new-Report-Builder-in-3-5-td3817159i20.html#a3961330> which might be relevant to you. I seem to recall any query you use in a report is not automatically updated when you edit/amend the corresponding query via the LO query list, so you have to manually 'paste' any changed query code into the mentioned COMMAND control of the report. Maybe that's the reason for your problem.
