We found a 'work around'. If we open the template directly from where it is stored on the network, the input fields stop and ask the user for the appropriate data. However, this is a step backwards, and is extremely slow. In LO 3.5.5 we were able to create a menu item that would open the templates correctly (Tools, Customize, New Document from Template). When we do that in LO 4.0. the template will open, but won't prompt for input. If we change the way the menu opens the template (Tools, Customize, Open, Template Manager), the template will open correctly. The catch is, if the user then opens a regular document, then tries to open another template, the default directory goes to the last place that the file was opened from. The users' files are stored on a different server than the LO application files. Any ideas how we can get around this? Hopefully speed up the opening of LO 4 in a Windows network environment?
