Advantage of placing into a non-versioned installation folder for Windows OS is that established configurations and function of 3rd party extensions will remain intact across version upgrades. Expect minimal impact on installation or bundled extensions and Windows registry and LibreOffice registry and user profile. Potential impact on migrating user profiles during upgrade, and possibly on 3rd party extensions. Comments?
