Hi :) That is a good question.
Ultimately the Tables 'should' be in MySql (or whichever back-end you are using). One thing i don't know is if you can use the nice GUI front-end in Base to create the Tables and find the Tables are automatically in the external back-end. If it does work that way then it greatly reduces complexity by hiding the complexity away from the Database Designer. Ian, Alex, Dan, anyone any idea? Regards from Tom :) >________________________________ > From: rounak jain <> >To: Dan Lewis <> >Cc: "" <> >Sent: Sunday, 12 May 2013, 6:24 >Subject: Re: [libreoffice-users] help with database > > >
What version of MySQL are you using?
>$ which mysql >/usr/local/mysql-5.6.11-osx10.7-x86_64/bin/mysql >
Tables and their data are kept within >MySQL.........................After creating the schema, you can use Base >to create the tables for the schema.
>Confusing.....tables are to be created in MySQL or BASE? > > > >On Sun, May 12, 2013 at 9:50 AM, Dan Lewis <> wrote: > >> On 05/11/2013 11:21 PM, rounak jain wrote: >> >>> I have connected my Base to MySql.
