Hello,

When saving a document as .doc from Writer, part of the Header and
Footer characteristics are not saved.

How to reproduce:

In Writer, go to Format -> Page -> Header -> "Header ON". Untick the
"AutoFit Height" box. Apply and "OK". Now save the document as ".doc"
and close it.

When I open this .doc again, the "AutoFit Height" is set "ON".

The same happens with Footer: "AutoFit Height" is always saved as
"ON".

The consequences of this behavior are seen in ".doc" documents with
Header and/or Footer, where Writer automatically adds "empty" rows
inside the Header and/or Footer, completely changing the resulting
document.

Apparently, the bug report posted at
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=47838 is related to the
"AutoFit Height" not being saved in ".doc".

I am wondering whether Writer is even capable of saving this specific
setting at all. I mean, maybe this is not really a bug but just
happens that Writer is not _capable_ of saving this specific
characteristic(s) in ".doc" documents at all (?).

Is there anything I can do so to workaround this issue? Am I doing
something wrong? Is there any setting I should change?

BTW, I am currently using LibreOffice 4.0.3.3 under Windows, but from
the aforementioned bug report I am assuming that this problem has
been present for a long time (at least a year) and under different
platforms.

Any comments / ideas / suggestions are appreciated.

TIA,
Ady.
