Hi :) To use Nabble you do still need to be subscribed to the list, unless you don't want to be able to post to it.
There are different options for how you subscribe though. There is one called "nomail" although i am not certain it works the way one would expect. So, it might be better to use the "Digest" method to resubscribe.
