Let them know you need "a login for ODFAuthors" although they usually figure that out just when you say you want to get involved. they do have some wiki-pages to try to help you work out what you are doing but it's easier to start by saying hi to their mailing list and take it from there. They keep trying to smooth those wiki-pages but it's still not always clear because they focus more on the work itself.
