Your problem is very similar to what I had some time ago with EPS files, so if it is, I'd suggest you to convert it to PNG, since the problems with vector graphics in latest releases of LO Impress are frequent (see, for example, this bug: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=62038 ), but there are usually no problems with PNG.
