Hi :) LibreOffice develops so fast that by the time most other software would be releasing updates and patches LO is releasing a new version. The next version in the same branch tends to be just bug-fixes but in the newer branch you get bug-fixes and new features (although those new features may have introduced unexpected new problems or unearthed old ones that had previously been hidden.
So although you don't get a splattering of bug-fixes, patches and security patches you do get a very much smoother of the entire program.
