Hi,

That option/setting is turned on. I'm not seeing any change regarding the 
symptoms when I turn it off and on.

I tried another thing now, namely to see if there was possibly an Albany AMT in 
the 4.1 package. I couldn't find one though (in 
/Applications/LibreOffice.app/Contents/share/fonts/truetype), but nonetheless I 
moved that folder out of the way and copied the truetype folder from 3.6 as a 
substitute. This didn't change anything though, the bold still looks the same, 
too bold.
