Hi :) How about just changing fonts? Can you find or create a font? Perhaps take an existing one and substitute in odd characters here or there?
Are you thinking of doing a massive 1st letter in the first word of a new chapter, as they do in ancient manuscripts? If so i think there is a fairly easy way to automate it in LibreOffice. I know I can write a (lengthy!) macro to look for each possible character and substitute accordingly, but was wondering if it would be possible to have a macro refer to a substitution table which could be changed from time to time and do a substitution for all the characters in a text according to the table? -- T.
