I am editing a text document and it is displaying it as three tiny pages instead of a single page or part thereof to edit. My understanding is I have to 'unhide' my status bar so I can click some sort of icon that will put me back in text edit mode showing only the part of the page I am working on. The problem is how to I turn on my status bar?
On the "View" menu, click "Status Bar" and the status bar should appear at the bottom of the window. You can do the same again if you want to hide it again later.
Alternatively, if I've understood the original problem correctly, you might be able to sort out the page view without needing the status bar... On the "View" menu, click "Zoom", then "100%" or "Entire Page" (or whatever setting suits you). The icons on the status bar are a quick way of accessing those features, so it may still be useful to unhide it.
I checked all the other icons that I currently can see and none are the one described in the help online. Also, I am older and am used to being able to phone in a question. This is very frustrating that I had to spend over half an hour on this and get nowhere so, can you please provide a phone number ie. 1-800. Thank you.
LibreOffice is free software, with free support mainly provided for users by users via this mailing list. I believe there are companies which offer paid support for LibreOffice, presumably some with phone numbers, but I don't know specific details. Hopefully someone else on this list might be able to reply pointing you in the right direction.
I hope that helps (at least on the status bar...)
