If it still does not work, try adding a post-install English dictionary via the Extension Manager. Sometimes this fixes "something" in the installed package. Sometimes it works and sometimes it does not. But it is worth a shot. Try either link shown below. They point to the same file. This Is a very large American English dictionary that was meant to add more words to the spell checking system and more returns for the thesaurus option.
