Hi :)
OOOPS!!

I was worng! Mac hasn't had it for years after all! I really thought it
had. I think i have seen is an add-on app for Mac.

This article gives 1 that kinda pushes you into buying the 'proper' version
http://www.addictivetips.com/mac-os/snap-windows-at-left-or-right-side-of-screen-in-mac-tilewindows-lite/

This thread gives more tools that do the same sort of thing and some look
better than others
http://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/50330/how-to-arrange-two-windows-easily-to-left-and-right-side
it doesn't describe it quite so well as the 1st link which is the only
reason i included that 1st link.

This link confirms some and maybe gives another
http://superuser.com/questions/14982/how-do-i-quickly-position-two-windows-side-by-side

That last link taught me an even easier way on Ubuntu (and some others) is
to use
Super Ctrl and the arrow keys
to snap the window in different ways. I don't have a "Super" key just one
that used to be a "Windows" one but now has a penguin painted on it (in my
dreams at least) (i've never dared actually do it jic MS "get me" for
patent infringement)

Regards from
Tom :)
