​Urmas, Chinese glyphs are not «hieroglyphs». It would, indeed, be
*possible* to use hyphens in writing​
​ as most «words»​
​ in colloquial Chinese​
​ are bisyllabic and written with two glyphs, each of which constitutes not
merely a syllable but a morpheme, but it simply isn't done....
