Dan, Tom : I suspect that this is (as so often previously) a Windows problem. I have no difficulty att all copying from a document in LibreOffice 4.2.0.4 (Build ID: 420m0(Build:4)) and pasting to Gmail on my main box, running Linux Mint 16 and Firefox Nightly (30.0a1 2014-02-15)....
