If it worked fine in 4.1.4 and stopped working in 4.2.0 then it's worth reporting as a bug-report. https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/BugReport Obviously it would be good to try 4.2.1 jic it has been fixed already but bug-squad/QA can quickly close the ticket if it has been fixed but you haven't had time to check it yourself.
The main reason it's good to ask this mailing list is if you are a new user, perhaps more familiar with other office suites, and have not yet read up much of the documentation nor gained years of experience using LO/OOo/AOO.
