Are you using the Libreoffice dialogs or your systems? See in Libreoffice

Tools -> Options -> Libreoffice -> General

Hmm, this behavour has been seen on the "Format Cells" dialog but then only 
whene compiled with the --enable-kde4 switch. I can't repeat it.
