Lol Tom
forgot about virtualbox tbh, even tho i use it frequently for other
things like hotspot software, usually have a laptop with debian on, but
think i had to nick the HDD out of it for some reason.
Might even try and power up the PI again, when i get access to the TV..
cheers

Hi :)
I think if you are on a Mac then don't worry about running Ubuntu.
If you really need Ubuntu then maybe in a virtual machine such as
VirtualBox (hah, i know it's Oracle again but they seem to actually
care about this project)

Tom :)

Hi All
Apologies, i dragged over the LO file from the DMG, and i kept
deleting the new installation, it wasnt untill i looked a bit
further down my app list, that i saw LODEV!! my fault for not
looking further, and the file association was still with that
version..
But even after opening the file, the little bugger has lost its
print preview, its nothing major to re-create, but would someone
like to view it? to see whats going on for development purposes?
The file did open ok on my Win 7 laptop, i made a couple of
changes, and saved it, and then wam it dissapeared from the print
preview? it could be something to do with the headers? im not sure
Ive since tried it on that win 7 laptop running 4.2 (something),
my Imac 10.6.8 running was Ver 4.0 (see other emails), and the
newly installed Version: 4.2.2.1
Build ID: 3be8cda0bddd8e430d8cda1ebfd581265cca5a0f
Also im still running ver LibreOffice 3.4.4 OOO340m1 (Build:402)
on my imac at work 10.6.8. I dont have a copy of linux running at
the moment, im not entirely sure at the moment, but could Wubi a
copy of ubuntu on tomor if needs be?
Cheers

There seems to have been some weird time tunnel with Gmane,

Im running OSX 10.6.8, running Version
4.0.0.0.beta1 (Build ID:

TinderBox: MacOSX TDF Release,
Branch:libreoffice-4-0, Time:

That 4.0.0.0 was very buggy.
I believe it was one of the first beta release's,
and decided to
upgrade when i saw the little notification to
download the updated
version, after having put it off for a while. The
version i
downloaded was 4.2.2
First off i just dragged the file over, and ran
LO, checked to
make sure it was updated, just by checking about,
and it still
said running the above version? So put LO in the
trash (in a nice
way), copied the file again from the DMG and ran
LO, and it still
says the above version?
If you tried moving the app to Trash when it was still
running, it won't
have been deleted.
Did you empty the Trash after shutting down LO ?
I would also, for good measure, remove the LibreOffice folder
in your
/Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/ folder, and
then restart LO.
