Thanks Mark.  I checked that setting, and it doesn’t seem to make a difference 
whether that setting is checked or not.

I also noticed that all of these files are MS Word .doc files, as opposed to 
the LibreOffice format (I believe that is .ODF).

Also, in options>load/save there is a tick box "Load Printer settings
with the document".
