I don't think the > devs need to know that they have already fixed something though! ;) If the bug was still present in the current branch (4.2) it would make sense to ask developers to cherry pick the fix from the 4.3 branch and apply it to the 4.2 (soon-to-be-named-Stable) branch. So the answer is: if the problem is detected as fixed on a newer release of the *same* branch then there is no point in reporting. If it is fixed on an unstable or Fresh release from a *newer* branch but it's broken on the Stable branch then it should be reported. Hope this helps (and that the English is good enough...)
