o Go to View | Toolbars > | Drawing to display the Drawing toolbar.
o Click the Text (T) icon.
o Drag the cursor to create a text box.
o Type something into the box: a single blank will suffice.
o Click on the edge of the box or click outside it and then again
inside it, so as to see the eight coloured handles.
o Go to Format | Object > | Area... | Hatching and make your selection.
Alternatively:
o Enter a string of blanks.
o Select them.
o Go to Format | Character... | Font Effects.
o For Underlining, select Single; for Strikethrough, select "With /";
and perhaps for Font colour, select a suitable Grey.
