Charles S. (aka Tanstaafl) has agreed to check out the function on master to see if it has addressed the UX regression introduced with the new inline field editing introduced at 4.2--when we have feed back we will revisit fdo#76565 and requesting backport of the patch. That was all that Werner and I had asked, and in my opinion the response we were seeking. The rest is just noise.
