Hi :) On Ubuntu 12.04 and Firefox 33 i had no trouble when going into Nabble either from googling-it or from the official LO website. The first couple of links in the bug's thread did seem to have the same problem as the Geoffrey though.
Can other people try on other systems? Mint and other Debian family probably have the same result as me. Someone in the thread already tried with Fedora. So ideally if you are using something else it might help more.
