As this was just recently a topic of heated discussion, I thought I would mention that with the upgrade to 10.10 (Yosemite) LO (4.3.1.2) comes up without a problem, BUT when I open a Text document it of course crashes and asks for Java 6 (Java 7_71 is installed and has been working fine for months under OSX 10.9)
