When anything weird suddenly starts happening or when a weird fault gradually creeps in then renaming the User Profile is often the fastest way to fix it. It gets things "back to factory defaults" but you can gradually copy back bits&bobs until LO breaks again which can be a "give away" for pin-pointing the cause of the trouble.
