​As I mentioned on another thread, I discovered a simple solution t​
​o my problem with Base failing to install on (the PPA version of) LO
4.4.0.3 on my Linux Mint 17.1 box : I performed a search for «LibreOffice»​
​ in the Mint Product Manager and found, somewhat to my surprise, that the
«libreoffice-base»​
​ programme could be installed separately. Doing so provided me with a copy
of Base which can be launched by clicking on the Base icon in the
LibreOffice window....
