As I mentioned on another thread, I discovered a simple solution t o my problem with Base failing to install on (the PPA version of) LO 4.4.0.3 on my Linux Mint 17.1 box : I performed a search for «LibreOffice» in the Mint Product Manager and found, somewhat to my surprise, that the «libreoffice-base» programme could be installed separately. Doing so provided me with a copy of Base which can be launched by clicking on the Base icon in the LibreOffice window....
