I recently posted a link from LQ regarding a UK thesaurus. A number of
people made useful suggestions and I also made suggestions to the poster
but, unfortunately, the problem never got resolved.

As the poster should know, the answer is officially, no, LibreOffice
does not read “this forum”. A while ago though there was a discussion
here about another LQ post and the negative image a particular member
gave LO. I noticed his next post was dealt with in a concise manner
which nipped in the bud the negativity.
The reason for this post is that I think people with LO knowledge should
spend more time looking at LQ. An option is to have some kind of
official LO representation. I don't know whether this is feasible or
practical but linux distros have their own forums (is it feasible for LQ
to host a LO forum?). In most cases this means that reps from the
distros field questions (is this practical?). This would give a “one
stop shop” for Linux related LO problems.
The other option is simply to hop on board and search. Some people still
refer to openoffice so a search on “libre” might only filter some of the
posts. A search for “office” throws up several non-LO related posts.
But, LO probably gets mentioned 1-2 times a week so it is not a huge
drain on people's time.
I do tend to spend a fair bit of time at LQ and throw in the odd pearl
where I can. But, Linux and LO are hobbies for me. I ain't an expert. I
try and point LQ members at this list (not sure whether this is frowned
on!) but some people don't want to come. All help appreciated.
