That's one of the differences between these machines & the
typewriter;
when you're typing, the machine knows when you've reached the
end of the line and automatically 'wraps' to the next line.
[before starting to type - or at any time - you just set the
margins and these machines 'know' what's what ;-)]
If you wish to start a new paragraph, you then either hit 'enter';
(if you wish a blank line left between paragraphs)
or click the 'tab' key to indent a set amount of spaces;
[the tab can be set to any amount you desire]
or you could just hit the space key a certain number of times
;-)

Hi
I am an old fashioned guy that remembers the days when typewriters were
used on a regular basis. I want to know how to get to a new line w/press
enter w/out getting another one added on as well. I have also discovered
that if I copy and paste an amount of text from another source it will keep
the extra line adding feature into my document I am currently working on.
The only way I have found how to remove it is just type all the stuff I want
new added instead of copying it from somewhere else. Is there an easier way
to do this? Thanks for any help you can give. dworldjumper
